Is it ok to wash teflon-coated pans in the dishwasher? |
| A:(from raiden) | |
|
Like TJD said, not a solid idea. The combination of heat and bleach that's in dishwasher detergents isn't fresh for the teflon. Plus, I've done it before when in a hurry and they generally come out with a soapy remainder that you'll have to wash off anyway. Never quite understood why the soap would stick when nothing's suppose to hang around to Teflon! :)

Can I wash my coat that says Dry Clean only? |
| A:(from Holly) | |

Nylon is subtle to machine wash but the wool will shrink. I would only chance it on something not too valuable to me, like I've washed a few garage on offer finds that wouldn't be a great loss & they've mostly turned out neat. I've also saved dry cleaning bills on my dry cleanables by using the "Dryel" at the grocery trust in. You use it at home in your dryer and does a pretty good job. But read the back of the box first. It seems like there was some type of cloth that it won't work on. Good luck!

What's the best way to wash a coat? |
| A:(from Donna L) | |

Please assume from the care instructions on the coats label..I think you should be okay then. Some times washing 2 coats together might counterbalance out the load. Always let them drip dry too..you got to plan for this so they will be dry when you need to wear the coat too.
