How do I remove the wheel locks on a 2005 Honda Odyssey? |
| A:(from rickinmn) | |
|
You can go to the Honda trade with your title and VIN number and get a duplicate key if they are factory locks. If they're aftermarket locks and you don't skilled in the manufacturer, ask the tire shop to use their special socket to remove the keyed lug nut. It will be ruined after that, but you're already in a bad predicament driving around without the key lock. If you get a flat tire, you are totally screwed. The left hand wheel on a 95 Hyundai makes grinding & clunking noises and locks up at times? |
| A:(from P W) | |
|
well there are several realizable problems first is it the front wheel? if so it could be totally worn out brakes, a severly worn CV axle, or the wheel applicability could be worn-out. in all three cases this type of behavior is the final death throws of the parts tangled get it repaired before it totally locks up and slings you off the road one day soon. It WILL unexpectedly lock up while you are driving if you have let it go bad enough (except the brakes then the put on caliper piston pops out and you have no brakes to stop with) either way is pretty catastrophic.

I own a Honda Civic 2006 EX. I am planning to buy a Honda Accessory called "Wheel Locks".Is it good to buy? |
| A:(from GS79) | |
|
It's an accessary that is used to prevent wheel theft. "Is it a good buy?" They tariff $30-$50, so it's not a huge investment. If you feel that you park your car in unsafe neighborhoods and intend the vehicle's wheels are suject to being stolen, then yes, this will act as a preventative security gage. To install, take off the exisitng lug nuts and put one wheel lock on each wheel in its place. And make sure you be acquainted with where you keep the key to be sure you can get the wheel off if necessary! | |
