i have a 2006 nissan altima and have 20' chrome wheels that rub when i have weight in the back. what can i do |
| A:(from JONES99679) | |

20's are WAY too big, I have 18's on my 2003 Altima, 235/40 18. They look lovely. You may be messing up your brakes too with wheels that big, you must cringe when you have to park near a curb.

Im thinking on getting a 1995 GMC Jimmy, very sharp, 20 inch chrome wheels,? |
| A:(from lift&shift 101) | |
|
I would have to conform with the second answerer.Jimmys are not very reliable especially if is a 4x4 model. The drivetrain always seems to take up and also get suspension problems. The 4.3 engine(if thats what it has) is a good motor but GM kinda skimped on the interlude of the vehicle. That also seems kinda like a very high price!! Sounds like you are only paying for the evaluate of the tires and wheels only.No offense but it sounds like someone is trying to shine a "turd" so to lecture b be meaningful to unless the entire vehicle is completely customized.

How can I put 20 inch chrome rims on my 92 honda accord? |
| A:(from Fred C) | |
|
A - it would look redneck trashy. B - it would intimidate like crap with almost no sidewall to flex and absorb bumps. C - it would take more gas and wear out brakes faster due to increased unsprung worth. D - the wheels and tires would be worth as much as, likely even more than, the rest of the car, and wouldn't be covered by your bond unless you could buy a specific rider for them. | |

is winter and/or salt for snow bad for chrome wheels? |
| A:(from Sprinter) | |
|
Warily, such as is used on roads in wintertime, is bad for anything metal, including the wheels, frame, and body of your car. I wouldn't go so far as to get away wheels for the winter, but I would recommend that you clean the car frequently during the winter if they salt roads where you alight. Try to get the salt off all metal parts of the car.
