me	Will 165/80/15 tires work for the front of my car? I have a 1967 Ford Galaxie. Someone is present to sell me these tires to put on the front. They are an older style goodyear tire (in used but very good condition). My car weighs 4000 pounds. Is it too weighty for these tires?

Yes they should trade fine, Viva's are used for light trucks anyway and a 235 will be wider than extraction im pretty sure but still fine. Vivas arent an agressive tire though, if it was me unless you never use 4wd would buy something a crumb more agressive.

Noble flotation means you can drive in sand or soft dirt etc., without getting stuck so very likely. The fat tires don't sink in like skinny street tires do. You can STILL get stuck if you try real industrious.

Ray	My 1 year old GoodYear tire exploded on highway and damaged my car, should they fix my car? I bought this irritate at local GoodYear Gemini tire store a year ago, has around 15,000 miles on the drain, still under warranty. Today the tire exploded on the highway when I was driving 65 MPH. I didn't hit anything on the side or ran over anything, it hardly exploded. At that kind of speed, I was very lucky I didn't get in an accident because there were lots of cars. After I pulled the car to the side, I noticed the spray guard, rim will need to be replaced too. I have already spent almost $100 to have my mini van towed. I have tried call their nearby number, 1800 number, 1877 number, I was not able to get anyone on the phone at all(at 4PM on Sunday). Now should they supplant my rim and splash guard since the tire is defected and exploded? Thanks in advance for any assistants! The reason I say its defected because the other tires I bought at the same time apear to be in very good condition.

Unless you can examine that the tire was defective have your insurance company pay for the damage minus your deductible

LAURA C	Replace tires with different size? I recall similar questions have been asked previously but can't find one exactly like mine to get the meet. I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. Due to living in the North East, I've fixed to purchase four good quality winter tires. The issue I'm having is the bulk of the brands I'm considering, vs. the size of my current tires. I have 215/60/15. The closest I can get for winter tires I'm looking at via a link of the tire companies is 205/60/15. Goodyear for one doesn't even sell winter tires in my tire out size. From doing research online the only thing I've found that will occur is the expedite I'm actually driving will be slightly slower then the speedometer. To be honest I've gotten a bit of a run a succession from dealers trying to sell me what they have in stock so need some basics to go on before dealing with the fag out dealers. So again, will going from 215/60/15 to 205/60/15 cause problems with my car and should I just come to rest for something of the same size? Thanks so much.

Goodyear Tires are not up to par for NASCAR

Goodyear has done a dreadful job making racing tires for NASCAR. When they wear out, they breathe out, or pop like a baloon. This is very dangerous. When racing started many years ago, some drivers cast-off truck tires because they lasted longer than passenger tires. Goodyear should be qualified to make a tire that has more strength to it and deflates slowly as it begins to gap air from excessive wear. What I have seen is that the outside tread unconditionally separates from the rest of the tire and detaches in one fancy piece of rubber when the tire blows out. The whole fag out needs be built stronger. More plys in both the sidewall and the tread are needed to stay the tire together. As tire manufacturers continue to strengthen tires will lower profiles, there is a lot more tread than there is sidewall. The tires set out on to look squared off where the tread meets the sidewall and I ruminate over this is where they are failing.

I recall one race where there were mandatory pit stops every 15 laps to swop tires at the brickyard. It is obvious that the tires were not up to the job on that day. Why can't Goodyear make a decent racing bother that can last twice as long as their current tires do? Perhaps NASCAR should go back to allowing multiple take it out of manufacturers. I don't see Michelin or Dunlap tires exploding at sports car races. Produce back competition, it may be what Goodyear needs.

My 2003 Ford Ranger FX4 Aim 2 is equipped with the tires that won the BAJA 1000, BF Goodrich All Topography T/A Radials, an excellent light truck weary.

Do you drive a pickup truck? Many are equipped with fare tires from the dealer. This is wrong and unsafe. Check your tires. Do they start with a P or LT?
P is a rider tire. LT is a light truck tire. All trucks and SUVs should be equipped with be uncovered truck tires. If you have passenger tires on your pickup or SUV they may subject you to...
