Which is better tire: Michelin HydroEdge or Goodyear Assurance TripleTred? |
| A:(from Mark F) | |
|
I have not been impressed with the Hydroedge in snow. The first set I ever installed I took out for a analysis drive (Honda minivan) because there was about an inch of snow on the ground that morning so it was a distinguished chance to try them out. The Michelin's were sliding everywhere and the Traction Control and ABS kept kicking in. I get to stab just about every kind of tire there is and I must say I was underwhelmed by the Michelin, expecially considering how much they cost. A phenominal deluge tire, wears like iron shoes and like all Michelin's it is glabrous and quiet riding - I just don't like them for winter. The Goodyear Indemnity Triple Tread on the other hand has a great reputation for winter performance when new and I've been somewhat impressed with this tire overall. Definately the best product Goodyear has end up out with in years. | |

Go to the scrapyard for old tire. They are selling for below half price where I live, yet reasonable service way of life left
