20" rims??? |

Changing from the estimate wheel sizes will definitly throw your speedo off. The larger wheel will trek more distance then the stock wheel- in one rotation - it might actually read slower. You can get replacement speedo gears. Keep in viewpoint larger wheels will also change your gear ratios - the better milage you get with creator tires , youd get worse with larger wheels ( more fuel to push them around/added importance). If you got 20" rims with tires the same diameter as your stock wheels, it wouldnt variety anything tho. Id like to get a set of 20's on my 99 f150 - came stock with 16" rims.

What would be the implications of installing 20" rims? |
| A:(from Will S) | |
|
Gas mileage, speedometer off, pre consummated wear of wheel bearings, pre mature wear of suspension parts, irritate height, comfort. I wouldn't waste your money, if they were safe to have on that year jeep, they would have attain from the factory with 20's. There is thousands of hours of engineering and planing when making new cars.

I had 20 inch rims on my car, winter is coming around so i want to put my stock rims back on? |
| A:(from Mark F) | |

Spent suspension parts caused by the oversized wheels could be a problem but more likely is that each set of wheels requires its own indicated lug nuts to attach them to the car and you are using the wrong ones. This is really dangerous I might add and you may have already ruined the wheels if this is the proves.
