Unless you are common to replace the axle you aren't going to stick 22 inch rims on an Impala. I am not confident how 20 inch rims even fit. Curious... why? Do you have a picture... I am having a hard age picturing an Impala with SUV wheels.

Sounds to me that the unmanageable is not the ride height. it sounds like the rims you have are off of a rear wheel drive conveyance and your impala is front wheel drive.

You'll requirement to have the fenders rolled to fit 22s. Look around your area for custom car shops that will do that. 20s will fit without modification, so if you don't homelessness to roll the fenders, go with a nice set of 20s.
