Swirls in my black truck and oxidization in my rims? |
| A:(from John) | |
|
swirls in the brush, hmmm, geese thats a hard one, i havent heard of anything that youcan take that out with. perchance try buffing the car out now. it might take off what you put on. your rims, degreaser, it works great. i was just out washing and waxing my 04 bold yesterday. the rims looked horrible. i sprayed some degreaser on them, let it sit for about 3 minutes. the scrubbed down the wheels and the scuttlebutt, grease, grim, and brake dust all just fell right off. painting truck rims? |
| A:(from Jason S) | |
|
You can characterize the wheels with an epoxy spray paint (same type you would use to paint appliances). It comes in wan, almond and black and can be found in the spray paint dept. at pretty much any hardwares store or Nursing home Depot. I think a regular enamel primer would be fine but look on the epoxy apply can to see the recommended primer. If there is a plastic coating over the aluminum, then you'll want to fire that first. As for the sand blasting, you'll want to be careful due to the soft nature of aluminum. | |

Would 24" rims look right on my truck ? |
| A:(from Porterhouse) | |
|
I would sparse towards 22" rims... they still add height, look sharp, but aren't utterly overbearing as a larger rim. Keep in mind that unless you have running boards, it could potentially be harder for a newborn relative, wife or date to get in and out of your truck, which from previous experience I can attest that is a hassle.... which I say 22"s. I also mull over that the black rims with chrome accents would match really well and look tip top. One thing to remember is to have your speedometer calibrated to marriage the final wheel size as it will not read true due to the change in size from the review parts... no need to get an avoidable ticket. Hope this helps and adequate luck with the ride.

Do you think Black 24" rims would look Good/Flashy on a (White)2005 Dodge Ram 2500? |
| A:(from CB) | |
|
well first of all you are putting 24 on a truck so regardleess you get chrome or black you are goin to "prod thiefs" but anyways man i it depends if ya truck has like chrome accents.. like does it have any other chrome on the truck... if it does then i would go wit chrome but if it does not go with the black wheels with chalky lip... i think that would go hard...

What rims would look good on my 1970 chevy c10 truck? |
| A:(from bigchevynut72) | |
|
That era Chevy looks worth with about any after market wheel but I like simple subtle accessories so something like a black BBS stylishness mesh wheel similar to Trans Am GTA rims would give it a tough look but my all time favorite is the Corvette/Chevells fashion ralleye. They were a factory option on tat era truck and if I remember right a '70 - 2wd should still have 6 lug rims? They are available through Zenith I believe then with the chrome trim ring and splined center cap would look "old day-school" hot rod, once again a tough look that fits those trucks. If you go that route give me a shout I've got a posy of center caps from the donor rims back in the street stock dirt tracking days, I'd like to see one of those trucks cleaned up like you describe, they're getting far between these days.
