corvette rims on a chevy truck which hubs to use |
| A:(from inkjax) | |
|
heres the conservative answer---- if you have a truck with a 5 on 5 pattern the 5 on 4 3/4'' wheel will not fit your truck. you can use adaptors as you mentioned but, it will spaciousness the wheel out quite a ways and they may rub. (you know this). you can have the bolts moved to 5 on 4 3/4'' on your hubs and axles by having them re-drilled or have a set of adaptors made from bear up and not aluminum.! this way they can be much thinner and leave you some room.. there is no "hub" that i certain of that will take the place of your truck hubs without a spindle change too.. then you may have to do the ball joints and so on if it requires new upland and or lower arms to do it. you can also have the wheels bolt holes elongated like a multi-fit situation if, there is room for that on those wheels. good luck

What are the best shocks to use to get a comfortable ride with 22" rims on a 06 chevy truck??? |
| A:(from bob h) | |
|
salubrious answer h&a wtf! with the 22 you are not going to get a real good ride because of the sidewalls. shocks exercise power the spring rates and bounce on the truck the smaller the shock and the less fluid in it or its valve dress down will make it softer/ more bounce or harder less bounce any time you go from stock it can be a compromise. im not against exclusively stuff but its a give and take good luck

What rims would look good on my 1970 chevy c10 truck? |
| A:(from bigchevynut72) | |
|
That era Chevy looks integrity with about any after market wheel but I like simple subtle accessories so something like a bad-tempered BBS style mesh wheel similar to Trans Am GTA rims would give it a tough look but my all on occasion favorite is the Corvette/Chevells style ralleye. They were a factory option on tat era truck and if I call to mind right a '70 - 2wd should still have 6 lug rims? They are available through Summit I believe then with the chrome trim noose and splined center cap would look "old school" hot rod, once again a tough look that fits those trucks. If you go that convey give me a shout I've got a bunch of center caps from the donor rims back in the street routine dirt tracking days, I'd like to see one of those trucks cleaned up like you describe, they're getting lacking these days.

What Size of Rims And Brand of Rims Would Look Good On My 2001 Chevy Silverado Single Cab Truck? |
| A:(from leo29_1987) | |
|
20's or 22's. Be hip with 22's you may have to run a lo pro tire which may be bad if your roads aren't in great condition. with 20's you can go with a take it out of with a little more sidewall and wont have any problems. a 20" rim with 275-45-20 or 285-50-20 look carry out on silverados and wont have any rubbing issues with the right backspacing. (i have 20's with 275-45-20 on my distinct cab silverado) www.Fullsizechevy.com is a great site for silverado information! come check into it out. about 50,000 members

what other truck rims will fit on a 1989 Toyota Pickup 4X4? |
| A:(from Eric B) | |
|
You're looking for anything with a 6x5.5" lug gauge. But since you have a Toyota, you have to be careful of the center opening. Most aftermarket wheels will be fine since the center flaw is usually made large enough to accommodate the different manufacturers, but Chevy/GMC factory wheels normally don't fit since the hole is too small to fit over the hubs. There are a lot of other manufacturers that have used that lug pattern though. Full-size jeeps, Nissan/Infiniti, Honda/Acura, Mitsubishi, Chevy, GMC, Isuzu, Toyota/Lexus. There are quite a few more, but that's all I can think of right now.
